Our top payment technology client is looking for an experienced Business Leader / Consultant for a 4 month contract in NY to create and execute marketing consulting engagements.

This role has potential for conversion to full time or extension.

As part of the consulting team, the Business Leader will advance the corporate goals through the creation and execution of marketing consulting engagements. These initiatives are expected to drive incremental revenue and assist clients with their key business priorities. This Business Leader will lead consulting engagements for a large financial institution as well as one or more merchant co-brand partners. They will be expected to partner with the sales account team as well as functional/business team leads across the company and the financial institution to deliver thought leadership and marketing consulting expertise to help grow their business.

Work to deepen and grow the financial Institution and merchant co-brand client businesses by delivering marketing and customer experience solutions that maximize revenue and profitability.
Identify, create and prioritize new opportunities based on mutual business objectives and strategies.
Leverage innovation and creativity on a daily basis by recommending new ideas and solutions to drive better consulting engagements.
Conduct situational analyses to understand complex company and client needs, goals and objectives and mapping effective engagement approach and solutions to meet needs.
Support the sell-in and activation of value-added services and innovation platforms for issuing and merchant partners.
Partner with the account team to develop and execute an annual marketing plan, manage the marketing budget to support that plan.
Provide insight driven, data focused and actionable marketing recommendations and solutions.
Utilize the internal network, market research, sponsorships, product and brand marketing, and key agencies to create and execute initiatives.

Reporting Relationship
The role reports to a Senior Director.

10+ years business experience, with majority in marketing or consulting roles that involved marketing or business strategy, market research, innovation, product launches and planning.
Marketing experience from within financial services, agency or consulting disciplines required; co-brand and/or merchant experience preferred.
Excellent track record of developing and executing fact or insight based marketing strategies that delivered measurable business results.
Experience in building and delivering loyalty programs and initiatives.
Confidence in the digital marketing space with demonstrated ability to develop strategies that leverage digital channels to build and amplify brand and marketing strategies.
Ability to quickly identify business opportunities from a broad range of data/information from financial institutions, competitors, industry etc and translate those opportunities into actionable and effective consulting engagements.
Work, engage and foster a collaborative environment to deliver relevant projects, initiatives and insights.
Executive presence and the ability to build and maintain key marketing relationships at a senior level with a large financial institution.
Strong written & oral communication, including large group presentations as well as demonstrated project management skills.
Four year college degree required.
