Business Analyst

We are looking for someone to join a dynamic Global Product & Marketing Team with our Fortune 1000 client.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for providing coherent decision support and valuable insight into the Global Product & Marketing team:

• Understand site behavior, analyze granular website data directly and appreciate the impact of product changes to commercial and business goals.
• Create and maintain automated dashboards to measure KPIs and help internal clients quickly review metrics to make informed business decisions.
• Monitor key metrics and trends to highlight areas of opportunity.
• Define data requirements, sourcing, extraction and manipulation to drive the technical and analytics pipeline
• Identify missed opportunities, evaluate these and consider their relevance, potential impact and communicate their value.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis of key initiatives and A/B tests

Qualifications:
To do so, the analyst will need to:
• Be able to navigate data sources: extract information and insights from data sources, or gather qualitative information from relevant stakeholders
• Work with and manipulate large volumes of data
• Structure work, frame issues, perform in-depth analysis and synthesize results to present strategies/recommendations to various audiences.
• Communicate clearly findings and influence decision-making
• Be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end-to-end, and prioritize workload effectively
• Have the flexibility to work with team members and multiple stakeholders in different time zones Requirements
• Strong reporting and analytical skills
• MS SQL Server and Hadoop are among our database technologies; experience of these or similar is required.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau is required.
• Experience with Hive and web analytics tools such as Omniture and Tealeaf are preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and data presentation skills are a must-have along with the ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience with statistical analysis and understanding of A|B testing or split testing concepts.
• Ability to prioritize among conflicting demands in a fluid environment
• 5 years+ experience in an e-commerce environment preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline.
• Analysis experience in on line travel, online retail, banking or other data-intensive commercial environment is an advantage.
