Job Description:

The Product Owner assesses researches, prioritizes, and solves tickets from clients who are having issues, defects, or minor enhancements. Issues or defects can range from a few card holders being unable to view their point totals on a web page to defects in coded procedures that affect entire client bases. The resolution of tickets can require work on an individual level, inside of the Product Owners immediate team, and up to co-ordination between various departments.
The Product Owner must:
• have strong written and verbal communication skills. Heavy email and phone communication with customers and internal employees is standard and required. Must be comfortable in a relationship management role as well as working from an issue resolution standpoint. The Product Owner is responsible for keeping an open path of communication to the client through issues resolution as well as scheduled activities.
• have strong analytical skills to solve issues. The goal for this person is to understand and solve the problem on their own with the support of a SCRUM team. There will be a lot of research and collaboration with the support group as well as interdepartmentally. Root cause analysis is also a big part of this role.
• own the ticket from beginning to end regardless of who is involved in the research process until resolution.
• have a functional understanding of relational databases. Comfortable in SQL (Oracle).
• be available to be “On-Call” every 4th week. On-Call means being available 24/7 for Production Support related issues.
• have strong presentation skills. The ability to communicate ideas and concepts to everyone involved in the process (SCRUM team members, clients, management, and interdepartmentally) is a necessity.
• be able to prioritize and triage tickets and other issues as they come in through-out the day.
• be a self-starter and internally driven to complete tasks.
• be comfortable driving/directing others from an issue management/task completion standpoint.
• be comfortable studying and understanding existing business and technical requirements and writing new requirements.
This position supports:
• Client Products – (Databases, Websites, Applications)
• Monthly Scheduled All System Maintenance Outages (Communications and Executions)
• Monthly Production and Maintenance Releases
• Disaster Recovery Client Communication

Skills:
• Tack and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to document and execute test scenarios to identify issues – both function and visual
• The ability to think creatively about, analyze and understand complicated and abstract ideas.
Education/Experience:
• Multitask in a fast-paced technology driven organization
Microsoft office:
• Excel,Word
• Basic networking concepts (IP, Firewall, switch, etc..)
• General Knowledge of web-based applications, web browser functionality, and web practices
• Team oriented outlook and ability to work well with others.
• Bachelors degree required or equivalent experience
• 2 to 5 years experience in a business analyst, developer, or test analyst role
• Experience working with external clients and/or customer service
• Although not a requirement candidates with prior experience performing client business analysis in financial services or retail settings will receive significant consideration.
