We are seeking a consultant to work with our client on ensuring that smart and appropriate marketing communications are created, produced and distributed to their external customer audience and meet the business and communications goals of internal business partners. As a member of the creative team, the Project Manager has an initial consultative role to identify the businesses needs and goals, propose a smart set of communications solutions, and manage the development and production to meet business expectations of quality, estimated turnaround time and costs. The consultative nature of this position is enabled by the Project Managers core competencies in marketing communications strategy and in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal clients. The impact of this position is in ensuring simple, clear, effective and efficient delivery of consistent and respectful communication to the individual customer audience, in keeping with overall brand standards so that all efforts help improve our client’s ability to stand out in the marketplace.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist our client’s businesses in the planning and development of appropriate, customer centric communications solutions to meet communications goals
• Partner as needed with marketing communications staff to ensure product/ business segment message consistency
• Develop project proposal and creative briefing documents including message direction, and gain agreement on strategy in preparation for communications creation and production
• Continually watch for opportunities to innovate, which can include process, media/ tactics, and other ideas intended to improve our client’s competitive position in marketing communications.
• Identify critical opportunities to communicate to internal audiences and provide editing/ review support to ensure consistency of messaging.
• Provide additional information via Kickoff Meetings and as necessary to enable copywriters, designers, illustrators and creative vendors to create and execute on concepts and messaging.
• Utilize schedule management to foster collaboration between writers and designers
• Help writing and design team members prioritize projects
• Manage all assigned projects from strategy, creative development and production through established workflow processes
• Develop project estimates and timelines for all projects and provide ongoing project updates to management and internal clients.
• Seek consultation, when needed, with internal and external partners/vendors to inform the project team and the client with information needed to make decisions on project direction and ensure the end creative product will meet production specifications
• Track and report estimated vs. actual costs
• Track schedules to ensure on-time delivery
• Keep project status reporting tool updated in real time
