Brand Manager

The Brand Manager – Channels and New Product Development is responsible for supporting development and execution of a clearly defined channels strategy for Club, Value, e-commerce, Canada and Export and developing a new product strategy for our emerging categories. Experience with food and/or beverage is vital for this role. Any experience with Ethnic foods will be a huge plus.

The responsibilities and duties of this person will be as follows:

-Partner with Sales in development of the Club, Value, e-commerce, Canada and Export business
-Evaluate market opportunities and advise on if the company should invest in new channel businesses
-Establish volume forecasts for new channel businesses
-Provides leadership and/or supports the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines.
-Oversees and provides direction to market and competitor analysis.
-Work with Product Development/Production Directors to ensure project execution and progress.
-Write Product Development Requests & Product Briefs for R+D.
-Track and update detailed timelines.
-Create marketing presentations and marketing pages.
-Maintain and build new business relationships with presentations to customers
-Work with in-house R+D lab staff to evaluate and ensure product submission matches benchmarks

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related discipline. MBA/Masters preferred.
8 years’ experience within food CPG.
A minimum of 2+ years of product development project management from Marketing viewpoint is required.
Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to present in front of customers; one on one and in a large group environment.
Handle a fast paced work environment with the ability to work independently, but also function as part of a larger team.
Possess strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Attention to detail is required.
Knowledge of competitive landscape
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
Proven leadership and business acumen skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to deal effectively with a cross functional team.
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
