Our client is one of the best design agencies in the NW and they're looking for an awesome Brand Design Director to join their team and by awesome we mean REALLY awesome. Help demystify the value proposition of a product, learn about the emotional responses to a brand, and develop both strategy and ID.

The key for this position is experience with Brand Strategy. You can't just be an Art Director with logos in your portfolio. We're looking for someone who has created brand foundations, understands how to work with consumer research, brand tenet and positioning for global brands. Your proficiency extends to brand foundation and strategy you can engage clients and get them excited about how design adds value and solves problems. You're well versed in translating insights and strategy across all media, creating identity systems, and crafting guidelines to implement the creative vision. In short, you live in the zone where brand insights, business strategy, and visual storytelling meet.
Other considerations: You play well with others, can mentor a team, and have interaction design chops. This is a hands-on design position, be prepared to work. If this describes you, let?s talk.

In partnership with agency strategists, establish brand foundation for clients: tenets, brand position, mission, and vision.
Create the design themes and visual characteristics of brand: execute deliverables such as brand foundation decks, visual centers, seasonal directives, photo style guides, ID systems, packaging, environmental displays.
Work closely with Account and Project Managers to ensure projects are within budget, scope and timeline ranges.
Review and direct work of project teams; taking design quality, strategic intent and client goals into account.
Lead client and internal meetings/critiques to present concepts and design direction.
Assist business development team with proposals and pitches.
Skills and Qualifications: 6-10 years of multidisciplinary design experience with consumer brands on the agency side
Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or equivalent
Expert level Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Expertise in design systems including standards, identity, packaging, environment/retail
Superior writing and presentation skills
Excellent client interaction, collaboration and organization skills
Capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously
Killer portfolio and solid references
