Brand Analyst

The ideal contractor would possess a solid brand / business sensibility and the ability to analyze and synthesize information into a clear point of view. Additionally, strong communication skills (written) are key.

Summary: This role will support the day to day management of the nutrition guidelines - receiving and drafting responses to incoming questions from the nutrition guideline users, tracking responses to improve the ledger of decisions, providing analysis in support of nutrition guideline management (e.g., food analysis, basic nutrition analysis, regulatory landscape analysis, recipe review), and assisting with trainings and reporting as needed.

Areas of Work:
1) Nutrition Guidelines Stewardship (60%)
• HOW: Receive and draft response to daily nutrition guideline (NG) questions from the businesses.
o Develop a solid understanding of the NG – including their purpose as it relates to brand stewardship, business decision making, and reputational management.
o Receive and respond to daily emails from nutrition guidelines users - provide accurate written briefs translate nutrition guideline information and business needs into sound recommendations.
o Track and maintain an account of nutrition guideline decisions to improve compliance and transparent reporting.
o Assist with recipe evaluation, coordinating with nutrition agency as needed to ensure recipes are tested for compliance with nutrition guidelines.
• WHY: This role will enable business units to integrate the nutrition guidelines in ways that align to corporate and business strategies.

2) Nutrition Guideline Related Analysis (25%)
• HOW: Support and strengthen the team’s ability to be a thought leader. Key responsibilities:
o Benchmark foods & beverages products and monitor industry trends as needed
o Provide analysis to help support global nutrition questions as they arise
• WHY: This role will strengthen the credibility of nutrition related decisions

3) Reporting and Ad Hoc Nutrition Team Support (15%)

• HOW: The role will assist with nutrition guideline reporting process. Key responsibilities include:
o Track and analyze key data in corporate reporting system
o As needed, work with businesses to collect and aggregate key metrics
o Assist team with training needs

• WHY: This role will help the team track key data transparently

Guidance: Receive tasks as assigned by the Program Manager or the Director.

This role will meet with Program manager on days in office to review tasks that are assigned and discuss status.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in analysis, branding, marketing, or business management. To be successful, this person must be strategic, detail oriented a strong communicator. Strong business sensibilities and strong relationship skills are needed.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge with Excel and PPT.
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills required.
• Willingness to work on additional projects to support the healthy living team
