Brand & Media Marketing Manager

Aquent’s energy company client in San Ramon is looking for a Brand Marketing Manager for a 1 year-plus contract. The Brand and Media Marketing Manager (this is a bit of a hybrid role) will be responsible for management of communications strategy, creative development of recruitment advertising, managing development and execution of local market recruitment ad requests, media planning and implementation, research to track results and budget management.

The Brand & Media Marketing Manager also will be responsible for:
• Recruiting the right talent globally is critical to the company’s success for today. Building the company’s reputation and value proposition as an ideal employer amongst experienced hires and future college graduates is essential for building a world class workforce.
• Support Corporate Brand team in developing and executing major branding initiatives such as conferences and expo’s.
• Project manage the development of quarterly newsletters and branding bulletins to organization.
• Provide support in various ad hoc branding projects.
• Liaison between internal teams (HR Communications, Upstream business units, etc) extended internal business partners/clients, and agencies to manage project briefings, workflow, timing, budget.
• Craft strategic creative and media briefs informed by insights from consumer research, prior program performance, and category/trend information and business objectives.
• Manage the creative process.
• Manage media strategy development and planning with agency.
• Lead in the tracking and reporting of program budgets.

Requirements
• 7+ years of proven consumer-focused marketing experience managing integrated marketing efforts, preferably with a major brand and/or agency experience (i.e. Sr. Marketing Manager level position)
• 2-3 years of branding experience such as developing packaging, working with brand guidelines, and developing brand identities and/or components of a branding system.
• Strong project management experience, collaborative work style, and excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills. Experience in managing multiple agencies.
• Proven hands-on experience in managing the media planning with agencies, inclusive of online
• Expertise in managing creative development process from crafting strategic briefs to execution, inclusive of online
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple internal stakeholders
