Fortune 500 media & entertainment company looking for a Bilingual Copy Editor to join their team!

  • This is a 6 month temporary opportunity with the potential to extend
  • Must be FULLY BILINGUAL / FLUENT IN SPANISH & ENGLISH (Read, Write & Speak)
  • Must have a strong knowledge / passion for sports
  • Must have proof of eligibility to work in the US



    Demonstrates leadership & advanced operating skills which may include: high profile non-linear video editing and graphic creation, media management, broadcast routers, archival media restore and ingest systems, After Effects, Photoshop, audio mixing, & writing scripts for pieces. These are expected for productions both on and off campus.

  • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of signal measurement and procedures
  • Conducts advanced levels of quality control and corrective action to enhance product
  • Expected to fully comprehend applicable SOPs and subsequent workflows for assigned areas
  • These roles consist of multiple disciplines of operational proficiency and assignments which may include: media Ingest/, non-linear editing, content enhancement techniques, as well as media management skills
  • Participate in and support the creative development and production of key show elements.
  • Write and produce assigned teases, features and cover stories.


  • Must have an advanced understanding of plant communications systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of specific workflows for identifying and resolving operational errors and equipment failure.
  • Has an advanced, working knowledge of programming, server operation and signal flow in assigned areas.
  • Expected to file reports, as necessary, on specific working conditions, equipment status, and personal development at the request of management.
  • Required to complete training follow-up documentation and administrative functions such as time entry and expense filing.
  • Expected to continually develop knowledge and operational skills to enhance daily contributions within your role.

  • Candidate MUST BE fluent Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills (speaking, reading and writing).
  • Work schedule - Sundays 12pm to 11pm / Monday thru Friday as early as 7am as late as 7pm.
  • Proficiency in all TV Production equipment and technology within assigned operating areas, including: non-linear edit systems, broadcast routers, media management process and applications.
  • Minimum of 4 years editing for a TV production or newsroom in a large market or network level.
  • Candidates must have STRONG computer background (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and solid communication skills. Knowledgeable in Quantel, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe, Premiere, After Effects, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ENPS.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently and manage simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and departmental objectives.
  • Understanding of Production workflows, proven writing and producing skills, and demonstrated ability to deliver on established themes and styles as required.
  • Ability to participate in generating new story ideas and execute the work, often under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced newsroom that requires quick turnaround edits with an emphasis on independently creating, writing and producing key show elements.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Education BA in Communications,Studio Production or related field
