Write and produce assigned teases, features and cover stories. Must have an advanced understanding of plant communications systems. Advanced knowledge of specific workflows for identifying and resolving operational errors and equipment failure. Has an advanced, working knowledge of programming, server operation and signal flow in assigned areas. Expected to file reports, as necessary, on specific working conditions, equipment status, and personal development at the request of management. Required to complete training follow-up documentation and administrative functions such as time entry and expense filing. Expected to continually develop knowledge and operational skills to enhance daily contributions within your role. Required to complete administrative functions such as time entry and expense filing. Candidate MUST BE fluent Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills (speaking, reading and writing). Work schedule - Sundays 12pm to 11pm / Monday thru Friday as early as 7am as late as 7pm. Proficiency in all TV Production equipment and technology within assigned operating areas, including: non-linear edit systems, broadcast routers, media management process and applications. Minimum of 4 years editing for a TV production or newsroom in a large market or network level. Candidates must have STRONG computer background (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and solid communication skills. Knowledgeable in Quantel, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe, Premiere, After Effects, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ENPS. Demonstrated ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently and manage simultaneous projects. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to alter shifts/days off to accommodate projects and departmental objectives. Understanding of Production workflows, proven writing and producing skills, and demonstrated ability to deliver on established themes and styles as required. Ability to participate in generating new story ideas and execute the work, often under tight deadlines. Ability to work in a fast paced newsroom that requires quick turnaround edits with an emphasis on independently creating, writing and producing key show elements. High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Education BA in Communications,Studio Production or related field
