BTM Specialist

Our client, financially stable, well established and reputable in the automotive industry is looking for a Business Transition Management Specialist to be a part of the BTM team responsible for the upgrade to replace a legacy system that will revolutionize the customer experience. The engagement is likely to extend into 2015.

The Business Transition Management (BTM) Specialist will play a key role in ensuring project (change initiatives) meets objectives on time and on budget by increasing user adoption and usage. This role will focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility for this role will be the creation and implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and to minimize resistance. The BTM Specialist will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, and the achievement of results and outcomes.

Responsibilities include:
• Draft BTM team communications, develop planning tools and activities, and participate in resource planning activities
• Participate in all program-level planning meetings with program leadership as BTM representative
• Manage relationships with business and program leaders and key BTM partners and SMEs
• Review and provide input and direction to BTM strategies, plans and key deliverables
• Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
• Assess change impacts
• Complete change management assessments
• Create change management strategy
• Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics
• Identify and manage anticipated resistance
• Create actionable deliverables for change management levers: communications plan, training plan, and stakeholder management plan.
• Support communication efforts
• Support training efforts
• Support and engage senior leaders
• Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
• Coordinate efforts with other specialists
• Integrate change management activities into project plan
• Evaluate and ensure user readiness
• Manage stakeholder expectations
• Track and report issues
• Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress

There are 3 facets of BTM that require the contribution of the BTM Specialist. Responsibilities in each facet include:

· Contribute to the development of program communication strategy
· Create and manage detailed communications plan
· Develop and distribute core message platform and library of communication materials
· Work with business executives and program leaders, BTM Lead and internal communications SME to write, approve and distribute internal and external communications
· Identify existing and new vehicles, key messages and activities

· Support all key stakeholder engagement and communications activities
· Report on status and progress of communication touch points
· Establish, manage and coordinate expansion of key stakeholder network, including DPT and FPT

· Conduct training needs assessments and validations
· Contribute to the development of training strategies and plans
· Manage and coordinate logistics for training readiness and deployment
· Manage the coordination of the design and development of training materials, courses, evaluations, etc.
· Manage coordination of distribution and delivery of course materials and courses, including logistics, resources, DRM communications calendar and toolkits, etc.
· Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust strategy, plan, design, etc. as necessary
· Manage ongoing course maintenance and performance support

Stakeholder Management:
· Perform change impact assessments and deliver analysis on findings
· Conduct any necessary stakeholder interviews and focus groups to assess readiness and commitment levels
· Develop strategy for regular stakeholder assessments
· Design, develop, distribute and analyze findings from stakeholder assessments, including for readiness, post-implementation and adoption
· Contribute to the development of workforce transition strategy
· Develop and implement workforce transition plan and execute on interventions and tactics

This is an ongoing contract position with Aquent. We will pay our talent on an hourly basis, and talent will be eligible for our premium benefits package.
