Are you an Interaction Designer looking for your next exciting and challenging project? Are you located in San Francisco, California or Charlotte, North Carolina (that’s right, two incredible city locations to join this team from!) and an expert in the field of User Experience?

Yes? Excellent! Let’s talk about our top client headquartered in San Francisco and their small but scaling User Experience team that is a part of an innovative B2B marketing group.

Why you may ask?

Well it just so happens that they are looking for a strong Interaction designer to join their team! This person will contribute greatly with product improvements and redesigns as well as deepen in-product knowledge and understand business initiatives for internal products and services.

The duration is slated for 6 months with strong potential to extend to 12 months or longer. This is a great opportunity to sink your teeth and design chops into one of the greatest financial companies!

Now let’s get down to what kind of experience they are looking for! You should apply for this role if........

- You are a top notch, dedicated, creative and talented Interaction Designer!
- You have B2B enterprise application experience.
- You have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- You have 3-7 years of experience with interactive product design, design planning for large e-commerce sites or relevant experience.
- You have experience with user centered design methods including task analysis and user scenarios.
- You have a proven track record for managing complex projects within larger organizations with a mature user centered design methodology.
- You have excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, facilitation, presentation, and engagement management skills.

Are you still with me? Excellent, now we have one piece that you’ve probably been worried about me listing in the MUST have category, but fear not! This client is open to industry background and while banking or financial services background would really seal the deal, it’s not necessary! That’s right! They’re more interested in your skill, talent and willingness to learn the ins and outs of the wonderful world of finance!

Pretty great, right? Ok! On to the next!

What will you need to do as a strongly contributing member of this team? I’m so glad you asked, that is next on my list to discuss! You will be a key player in the following:

- Creating and delivering strategic execution for projects, tasks and supporting the overall product strategy and design changes and updates.
- Collaborating with UX Designers, Developers, Program, Product, and Project Managers to gather requirements and integrate business objectives and technical constraints with internal customer needs.
- Creating wireframes, prototypes and contributing to the Information Architecture and User Interface elements.
- You will also ensure that solutions follow internal standards as well as industry best practices.

So how do you lock this incredible opportunity down? Well besides sending your resume, cover letter and portfolio link to you should be prepared to show design samples and interim deliverables including but are not limited to: design briefs, strategy recommendations, sitemaps, task flows, detailed wireframes, interaction flows, mockups, annotated screen specifications!
