B2B Financial Copywriter (short and long form) - NY

A Fortune 500 banking/financial client is seeking a copywriter with experience and verifiable success in all forms of media and channels including print, collateral, email etc., specifically for the B2B banking and financial services industries. Writes, proofreads and edits in a highly collaborative environment working with account executives, art directors, designers, and production managers. Executes copywriting tasks from initial concept to final release.
Looking for a creative thinker who brings concepts to life through integrated digital and print campaigns. The copywriter will also be a collaborative teammate who actively listens and contributes to outstanding work that sets each client line of business apart in the industry.

**IMPORTANT: Specifically looking for B2B writing experience and samples in global banking and markets, commercial banking or treasury services.**

***This is a 12-18 month contract position.***

Responsibilities:
• Write and evaluate copy, recommend changes and approve as final.
• Maintain job folders and documentation.
• Participate in review of jobs at all stages.
• Set direction for client meetings and secure critical information.
• Take a concept or theme and develop copy that will achieve business goals.
• Secure clear understanding of the objective and demographics of the campaign to ensure copy is targeted to appropriate audience.
• Collaborate with art director to produce the most compelling combination of images, design and language.
• Collaborate with account teams to develop appropriate strategies, targeted to appropriate audience.
• Develop techniques to reach new Customers and enable to company to maintain the competitive edge.
• Sell concepts, strategies and direction to senior management.
• Work with junior writers on team to provide them with direction.

Requirements:
* B2B writing experience in global banking and markets, commercial banking or treasury services experience.
• Minimum of Four to five years of advertising short and long form copywriting experience.
• Documented portfolio and record of achievement in project management and/or people management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of general advertising practices.
• Working knowledge of design software: QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat
• Working knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Exceptional written communication skills.
• Strong strategic skills
