Entertainment brand Interactive Division needs an Automotive BD Consultant, as their building an automotive website which will launch in 2016. What they need is somebody with a rolodex of contacts in the auto industry that they can ultimately partner with, and who is knowledgeable about the digital aspect of the auto industry. The position will be a work from home, however there will be required travel depending upon where their rolodex of contacts is located. This person will initiate the communication between Entertainment brand Interactive Division and the auto rep., will be involved in the contract negotiation and ultimately closure of the lead. The manager is open to candidates in LA, SF, Detroit MI and NY.

Automotive Consultant

Entertainment brand Interactive Division is looking for a Business Development Consultant to help build and support key partnerships in the automotive industry for 4-6 month contract, with a possibility of extending. Candidate can be remote in any one of 4 markets. This person will work closely with our product, production, editorial, marketing, audience and business development leads across the company in order to help grow and optimize our automotive partnerships. The role requires a candidate with deep knowledge of the automotive industry, insight on auto trends, familiarity with digital publishing (especially the online automotive leads business), and have a robust contact network to facilitate meetings with up-and-coming and established industry execs (including disruptors new to the industry). Negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively are also imperative.


Support business development with introductions to top automotive execs who work in the automotive leads and online car tools business
Connect BD leads to leaders within key automotive dealer associations
Provide insight into automotive industry trends, especially as they may pertain to possible disruptors
Familiarity with automotive digital publishing and standard partnership frameworks
Ability to help formulate a clear content distribution strategy and foster introductions to leaders at other automotive publications (print and digital)


BA/BS degree with 10+ years of automotive industry experience
Solid understanding of automotive digital publishing
Connections and membership in various automotive dealer associations
Insight into the automotive digital leads business
Familiarity with the best online tool providers for automotive digital publishers
Comfortable communicating both with external partners and internal departments
Insight into automotive trends and key markets
Possess strong negotiation skills
Must possess outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
