Audience Data Analytics Engineer

AQUENT is seeking for a Audience Data Analytics Engineer located in Silver Spring, MD and will support the building of a consumer data infrastructure. He/she will perform analysis to understand consumer trends in relation to business initiatives. The manager will be responsible for supporting the team in extending and innovating our big data and analytic capabilities.

Responsibilities:
DATA STRUCTURE & GOVERNANCE
1. Defines database data capture requirements with cross-functional touch points
a. External data integration (e.g. Google Analytics, SocialGuide, Facebook Connect, other data capture platforms)
b. Brand mapping/hierarchy, metadata taxonomy, cataloging, and classification
c. Audit requirements
2. Oversees master data and meta data management
a. Data Capture
i. Partners with Marketing Manager for determining and implementing standardized data capture across DCI owned & operate sites, events, ecommerce events, and social touch points
ii. Provides guidance on enterprise level opt-in policy and privacy language
b. Data cleansing
i. Develop intake and hygiene process rules
ii. Manages process for review of reject reports/ data cleansing
c. Standardization
i. Defines and maintains standardized mapping tables (e.g. MPVD, State)
3. Creates SOPs for audience data ingest, extraction, and use
4. Assist with data ingest and campaign management, when required
5. Establishes privacy/security hierarchy and regulates access
6. Determines data retention and archiving policies
7. Develops training strategy
8. Liaison to technology team/ database manager for on-going metadata and change management processes

SEGMENTATION & ANALYTICS
Assist with the following segmentation & analytical tasks, when required:
• Analyze audience profiles, interests, and behavioral insights
• Develop segmentations and other DCI determined propensities
• Determine KPI requirements for multi-channel campaigns; assist with the measurement and campaign reporting
• Manages requirements of data append/ rentals
• Ad hoc analysis and project leads
• Presentation build and communication of findings
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science,
* Minimum of 5-7 years work experience with proven business experience in consulting, analytics, and modeling
* A talent for gathering, organizing and simplifying complex information from multiple sources and systems; ability to produce succinct reports
* Understanding of CRM initiatives, the media industry, and DCI’s business function
* Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel & Access; Advanced modeling tool experience preferred (eg. SAS, R)
* Excellent project management, communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
