Associate Systems Analyst

Aquent is actively recruiting for a Digital Analyst who will report to Systems Project Manager – Web Development.

This position works with the digital communications and marketing teams in a technical business analyst role. The analyst will work closely with the project lead and business users through the entire project life cycle - requirements, testing, implementation, and support. This position will be responsible for gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional requirements and test plans. Strong problem solving skills required with a desire to continuously learn more about the digital landscape. Prior experience with digital testing is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, passion about their work, and a positive attitude.

General Objective: Assist in the design, testing and maintenance of digital projects – websites and applications. Prepare functional and business requirements, test plans, and report testing results. Develop and monitor policies, procedures and standards documents. Write and execute test scripts to control the quality of the project. Operate under general direction, and works with management team and project leader to determine objectives and solutions. Some latitude for independent actions and decision, but most often personnel in this position will receive an assignment as a member of the team.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Skills:

1. Develop detail business and functional requirements for new digital projects. Develop documentation to support the user’s needs.
2. Coordinate/perform system and browser functionality testing.
3. Assist in providing inputs for project meetings and management presentations, including general design, project scheduling, test plan, procedures, documentation, and implementation plan.
4. Comply with development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules.
5. Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to personnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions, as well as assure efficient operation of existing systems and programs. Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.
6. Challenge obsolete practices; question accepted truths. Develop practical systems scope that enhances the business function.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
