ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assists in writing user stories as part of an Agile project framework that: o directly support primary objectives of the project o are appropriate in size for iterative development o include clear and specific acceptance criteria o take into account dependencies on other stories and/or projects & initiatives • Assists to develop supporting business case, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support feature/functionality concepts and sell the concepts to internal audiences through persuasive oral and written presentations. • Works with Front-End Developers, UX and Design to work through all interaction details for Sephora.com. • Works with cross-functional teams comprised of both business (i.e. marketing) and technical roles during the life cycle of product development; champions the needs of clients; develops detailed requirements and feature definitions; partners with IT on development, testing & implementation plans, as well as internal communications & deployment plans. • Vets scope, requirements, use case/user scenario, test case documents and design specifications, in partnership with UX, product managers, QA and design. Proactively identifies issues. Works closely with key business leaders at senior levels. • Synthesizes business requirements, identifies areas of uncertainty, recommends solutions, gathers buy-in from relevant stakeholders, rolls solution out to team, shepherds feature through development and reviews code before rollout. • Projects expected to focus on interactions with areas such as: Homepage, Category pages, Brand pages, Search & Results pages, Product Page, Store pages, and internal tools used to drive said experiences. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1) Knowledge, skills & abilities: • Analytical, prioritization and negotiating skills. • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems. • Strong leadership, strategic thinking and practical organizational planning skills. • Superior relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills within cross-functional teams. • Ability to identify and understand issues related to both the internal and external client, and develops innovative solutions. • Nimble and flexible with regards to changing priorities & business needs, and in working with diverse teams & people. • Proven multi-tasking skills, ability to meet critical deadlines. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects — work prioritization, planning, task delegation, and work with peers in a cross-functional setting. • Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and be able to operate effectively without close supervision. • Exceptional written and verbal communication. • Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus 3) Minimum experience: • Bachelor’s Degree required • 1-2 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: product marketing, product/program management, business development, management consulting desired, but not required • Internet and retail experience strongly preferred
