Associate Producer

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
• Manage large-scale brand initiatives for design and production projects for internal marketing communications agency. Interface with Account Management, Creative and Print Production as well as internal and external resources to ensure execution and on time delivery of all project assignments.

KEY RESULTS AREAS
• Project manage branding projects including: brand campaigns, consumer and trade advertising materials, collateral programs, brand guides, press kits, trade shows, events and pitch materials
• Communicate with entire project team to develop project plan and schedule in order to ensure on time delivery
• Use established rate card and historical project data to generate estimates and change orders based on client expectations, scope and deliverables outlined in creative brief and discussed in kick-off meeting. Monitor budget throughout project life cycle and communicate budget status to team and identify if additional funds are needed or if project has gone beyond original scope.
• Attend project kick-off meetings. Ensure all materials for meeting are available and ready at start of meeting. Ensure that all project information is communicated to team from client in order to create accurate estimates and schedules based on project scope and client deadlines.
• Lead assigned projects and follow through on all aspects of the project from start to finish. Maintain projects in department status report and lead status meetings for assigned projects. Maintain constant communication and project status with all team members.
• Interface and maintain relationships with key cross-functional partners as well as outside design/production resources to complete all project deliverables.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
• Own assigned project from inception through final delivery
• Generate estimates and maintain budgets
• Develop and communicate timelines, daily milestones, next steps and status to project team. Revise as needed to meet changing needs and requirements
• Assist in prioritizing creative team's workload
• Identify resources needed and collaborate with internal creative departments including Creative, Print Production, Copywriting, Photography and more to develop accurate estimates and schedules
• Lead/participate in weekly team meetings
• Coordinate gathering of project assets and distribute to all necessary team members
• Align with creative partners throughout the company


*** Mgr needs someone with strong written and oral communications skills. Who is proactive and has strong leadership skills. Someone with strong Project Management and Account Management experience. AP will be Client facing which is critical***

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Extensive Project Management of Creative and Production projects
• Experience supervising/managing others preferable
• Experience in a variety of media including: print production, broadcast, online, retail
• Experience working across cross-functional groups
• Project budget forecasting, management, analysis and reporting
• Knowledge and practice in branding, design and advertising

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, and familiarity with design applications including: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. PowerPoint a plus
• Ability to navigate within a complex corporate structure
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, shift gears quickly, organize and prioritize is essential
• Ability to balance creative excellence, project efficiency, and effective methods of production
• Ability to follow established department workflow guidelines

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• B.A./B.S. Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
