Our client is looking for an Assoc. Merchandising Manager to manage a Category of business within it's Marketplace. 

Assists in Designs and develops strategies for selection, pricing, and promotion of merchandise to meet organization objectives for sales, margin, inventory turns, and customer service in a single retail or wholesale location or covering multiple locations in an assigned territory.

- Industry/Market/Competitive Insights 
- Demand: 
Customer insights/seasonality 
Buyer insights/Traffic Plan 
Key levers/channels 
Key search terms 
- Supply: 
Inventory & Pricing: New releases/launches, Head inventory, Longtail, OOS 
Revenue: FVF/rate structure, ads, contracts etc 
Seller relationships growth 
Partner levels: B2C/C2C 
New business development ​​

Experience Needed:
Site experience: Taxonomy, events, structured data, browse node optimization, item content, data quality, search etc 
Buyer and Seller experience: key pain points, policies, develop & drive solutions 

Key Actions: 
- Merchandising seasonal annual & quarterly calendar 
Merchandising/site merch/marketing partnerships 
Driven by site merchant 

- Inventory sourcing & pricing plans 
Set up by lead merchant 2wks before quarterly 
planning presentation 

- Category Line Reviews/Stratagies 
2 line reviews per quarter 
Set up by lead merchant 

- Seller Growth Stratagies 
3-5 sellers per quarter 

- Manage category performance by quarter
