Associate Media Director (Paid Social)

The Associate Media Director, Paid Social will be the paid social media lead for one of our Atlanta clients. The role requires a broad range of skills including leading paid social strategies, executing paid social media plans, collaborating with other teams to define target profiles, defining media goals measured against precise KPIs and ongoing internal and client education. The role requires expertise in the holistic digital landscape (Display/Video, Mobile, Search, Social, Programmatic, etc) and experience in identifying and evolving new paid opportunities. Candidate must gravitate towards change and thrive in a fast-pace environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the Media group, lead client's paid social media team that develops paid social media plans from conceptual planning to tactical recommendations, including flighting and budgets
Counsel internal stakeholders and clients on emerging digital technologies, trends, platforms and best practices; help inform strategic decisions for overarching brand strategy
Maintain an ongoing understanding of digital pricing platforms, ad formats and targeting capabilities
Execute ad campaign goals and objectives across the client. Research and identify digital and social opportunities to consumer behaviors and trends utilizing insights and research tools to dictate strategy.
Work with the social media buyers to negotiate the best possible rates, positioning, and creatively-integrated buys.
Manage social media buyers on the account. Mentor, train and empower team members for career growth.
Work closely with our clients at The Home Depot in an integrated fashion – must be willing and able to sit with the client’s at their office 2-3 days a week.
Continually optimize digital media strategies by researching and staying at the forefront of platform news and developments
Work with Analytics department to track and measure client success with daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc analytic reports (pending client scope), including insight development across multiple platforms
Develop relationships and work collaboratively across various clients, vendor partners and agency departments to develop and maintain social/digital media strategies and campaigns
Be a Digital advocate, increasing the visibility of agency expertise in the space by evangelizing our capabilities and passion


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in any field required with focus on advertising, communications, journalism or digital media preferred
8+ years of agency experience including social media/marketing, media planning, platform strategy and activation development
A passion for digital media and technology and an active interest in how digital innovation is driving change
Demonstrates success in developing and executing digital media campaigns with paid media on various platforms
Overall understanding of media landscape including all digital and traditional media channels
Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders. Ability to think on your feet.
Ability to understand client objectives and how they translate into media strategies & tactics
Strong knowledge of interactive marketing concepts and best practices. Strong POV on digital technology, analytics and content creation.
Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze raw data, identify true insight and develop actionable recommendations. A natural affinity with numbers is a must.
Strong interpersonal skills – able to forge strong relationships and influence clients, partners and colleagues alike
A passion to help and develop people – making yourself readily available to answer questions and offer support, and the ability to motivate people to succeed
Mac experience preferred, intermittent to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Keynote/Microsoft PowerPoint presentation development required
In-depth knowledge and experience navigating all digital interfaces, platforms, and publisher platforms, Facebook.
Strong experience with 3rd party ad-servers, social PMDs, and analytics tools
Proficient on all digital media computer applications (Comscore, Nielsen, etc,)
Strong mathematical skills required
Less than 10% travel per year
Must be able to operate in position for 7 hours a day
