Associate Marketing Manager, Social Media and Mobile - TEMP to PERM


This position is responsible for partnering on development of and executing Social Media and Mobile Marketing Strategies that are focused on achieving the following objectives:
1) Grow community by acquiring many more fans, followers, downloads, etc. across a variety of digital, social media and mobile platforms
2) Increase engagement with the brand and product by delivering talk-worthy experiences and content to the customer
3) Drive traffic and sales to stores and website in support of various sales, promotions, launches, partnerships, etc.
4) Increase positive brand perception and fashion credibility

The Associate Marketing Manager will work closely with several internal and external partners, including the Senior Manager, Digital, Mobile, Social, the internal creative team, a digital media agency, a creative agency, and new media/tech partners.

The Associate Marketing Manager will help lead all stages of strategy development and execution including brainstorming, creative briefing/development/approval, partner selection/contracting, and execution oversight and performance analysis of all initiatives.

This role will also collaborate closely with key global partners to develop all processes necessary to create and execute global social media strategies. She/he will need to quickly acquire a very deep understanding of all regional platforms, practices, etc. to devise integrated global social media strategies that are successfully adapted and implemented locally.


1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Strategic thinker with significant experience executing successful, well-integrated social media and mobile marketing programs
• Well-connected and active in the social media and digital space – permanently curious, keeps himself/herself up to speed when it comes to new campaigns, programs, platforms, etc.
Understanding of retail and fashion categories
• Outstanding collaboration and partnership abilities
• ‘Can do’ attitude
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Ability to multitask
• Strong communication skills (oral/written)

2) Minimum educational level:
• Bachelors degree required

3) Experience Required:
• 3-5 years experience in social media and mobile, digital marketing and/or digital agency
• Retail knowledge and experience strongly preferred
• Avid Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, blog and tablet/smartphone user


Social media and mobile:
• Responsible for understanding target customer, and brand platform, and social personality to develop and execute social media and mobile initiatives
• Own social/mobile process from brainstorming and briefing all the way to creation and execution
• Partner with PR team to manage influencer program, working with a variety of bloggers to promote product monthly
• Keep abreast of emerging trends, changing consumer habits, new social media trends, new platforms and any/all relevant information that could represent strong implications and/or opportunities
• Work with Finance in the marketing effectiveness process
• Monitor and react to competitive innovations and strategies within social and mobile

Key Relationships
• Numerous relationships with key internal business partners – Brand Marketing, PR, Merchandising, Design, Store Operations, Field, Finance, Customer Relations and Legal
• Key liaison with numerous outside agencies and vendors in the planning and execution of programs and events – i.e., creative agency, digital media agency, bloggers, etc.
