Develop global strategies, tactics and communication plans for Brands in the social media space.
Consistently engage and become the voice for our community across all social channels.
Manage and execute community facing initiatives
Work with the Global Brand Teams and Subsidiary Marketing teams to optimize Social Media efforts on a daily basis, while leveraging scale and learnings to expand internationally in relevant markets.
Working collaboratively with the marketing teams, generate high-quality, creative editorial content and maintain the editorial calendar.
Identify and evaluate Social Media vendors and technologies for use across Social Media channels to improve workflow and performance.
Have your hands on the pulse of the community to identify the ongoing conversations around our brands and find new opportunities to engage.
Analyze results to insure that insights are integrated into current and future strategies, as well as develop frameworks to help refine our Social Media strategies.
Track performance of Social Media marketing programs on an on-going basis to establish best practices, while comparing against internal and industry benchmarks.
Review process and workflows with the global teams to ensure best practices & efficiencies.
Stay abreast of industry trends and digital advancements, specifically in the Kid & Family, Entertainment and eCommerce spaces, while providing recommendations for Mattel's social media strategy.
Strong understanding of Social Media universe including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, Flickr, Wikis, Blogs, Pinterest, etc.
Be passionate about the company's portfolio of Brands.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 3+ years in online marketing, digital media, or community management.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of Social Media or Community Management experience
Proven track record in written communication skill specifically consumer facing (Social Media, Blogs, Articles, etc).
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
Highly organized self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Collaborative, creative and flexible work style.
Strong leadership, project management and presentation skills.
Excellent reporting and analytic skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrates strong knowledge and thorough understanding of marketing, advertising and promotional principles.
