Associate Manager Category Management, Consumer Insights and Analytics

Analyzes planograms Weekly and Monthly to optimize assortment based on price, promotion, product or placement utilizing data sources such as NPD or the accounts own POS systems.
Build, develop and maintain planograms for the buyers and for sales that maximize sales and productivity and take advantage of business strategies for account.
Revise Planograms for transitions, and cut-downs based on in-depth analysis or current POG and implementation of strategy
Conducts detailed POS and productivity analysis on POP, TV advertising ROI, ad plan analysis, inline and feature space.
Work closely with sales staff and the account to ideate and implement merchandising suggestions based on fact-based analysis for the toy category and Mattel.
Review, reference & expand Mattel's shopper & customer research portfolios in developing recommendations for category strategies for the account.
Become trusted partner and expert for the buyer and act as advisor on Toy category to create and implement strategic recommendations on improvements in toy selling strategies for the account.
Work closely with the marketing, sales and strategic planning teams or outside agencies to develop and implement big ideas in the Toy Category that will grow the business for Target and Mattel.
Create and present weekly & monthly reporting on sales, market share, & productivity to buyers and to sales.
Responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all levels at the account including but not limited to VP of Sales, Sales Team members, customer marketing staff, Buyer and Sr. Buyer, IT systems and and Planogram optimization teams, special projects team and business analysts.
10-15% travel required (generally to Customer location in MN and possibly NY office locations).

3-5+ years related experience in category management, sales, sales planning, research, retail/buying, merchandising, marketing, etc.
Category management experience is preferred, although is not required
A working knowledge of business and/or retail acumen (business accounting or financial accounting experience is helpful)
Planogramming experience & knowledge required; a working knowledge of planogramming tools and software (Prospace) is required.
Some prior exposure to sales planning software is preferred.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Powerpoint is required.
Exemplary attendance and job performance.
