Associate Graphic Designer

Our client is looking for an Associate Graphic Designer. As part of a team of talented creatives, the person they select will design and deliver creative elements in both electronic and traditional media. This includes website, collateral, tradeshows, and products. This position is especially suited for people who are passionate about health and fitness.
The ideal candidate will understand the company’s brand and have a strong sense of style and highly defined understanding of how the functional and visual combine to create compelling, memorable experiences. In addition, there will be the opportunity to support design efforts for the web.

This is a contract position that could lead to a permanent role. While a contractor, the person hired will have access to Aquent’s outstanding benefits package. The role is on site on the eastside.

Responsibilities
• Take lead role in creating branded visual solutions and producing final assets
• Own Brand Guidelines, ensuring it meets the needs of an ever-changing business environment and maintains relevancy to all of its audiences, including global employees, dealers and distributors, outside vendor/agency partners, and internal creative teams.
• Work with other design resources to ensure the consistency of visual design ideas implemented across the company.
• Work cross-departmentally to support graphic requests and ensure brand standards are maintained
• Manage and provide art direction to outside agency and vendor resources to deliver graphic solutions in support of marketing department initiatives.

Required Skills
• Understanding of typography, iconography, layout, color, and imagery (including video)
• Deep understanding of web-based visual design, with competencies in interaction architecture
• Understanding of brand and how it influences tactical execution
• Ability to organize large amounts of information across multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in project management, administration, project scheduling, and the written and oral skills to communicate progress to stakeholders
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and digital production techniques
• Understanding of printing and color-process production required
• Experience with copywriting for basic advertising and collateral executions

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or fine arts
