As a member of the Agency, the Associate Editor works directly with Marketing and Merchandising departments, management, writers, print and web designers and the editing team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all editing projects and responsibilities. The Associate Editor has experience in the mediums the company utilizes (e-mail, Web site, catalog, direct mail, etc.). The Associate Editor is responsible for making sure all work follows approved style guide standards, grammar and punctuation rules, and registration and trademark usage. The Associate Editor reads content for accuracy and continuity to ensure the best shopping experience for the customer.
Edit all media (Web and print) for grammar, punctuation, style, voice, format and brand messaging to ensure 100% accuracy and consistency between Web and print. Ensure that brand standards and objectives are met and executed according to guidelines established by Sr. leadership. Bring to the attention of the appropriate person any significant discrepancies or inaccuracies that you notice in regards to brand claims and product and offer copy (including disclaimers and trademarks). Write/edit newsletter articles, product content and other materials. Working knowledge of PDB and ability to make updates to database as needed. Assist the Editor in managing workflow, priorities and capacity. Looks for ways to streamline our current processes and procedures or create new ones, and provide documentation for each.
