Job Title: Associate Director, Product Management

Our web publisher client is looking to start an Associate Director, Product Manager ASAP in their NYC office:

This is a permanent placement.

The Associate Director is expected to perform all product management duties including product portfolio management, ideation with stakeholders and teams, users, markets and analytic inputs, requirements gathering, scrum team participation, agile product ownership, documentation and prototype preparation and post-launch product evaluation and maintenance. Stakeholders and teams include editorial, audience engagement, publishing, UX/design, engineering, QA, business intelligence and marketing.

*This role will include strategy and executional work, directly managing 1 other resource underneath them, MUST have content / digital publishing background, e-commerce background is helpful as well.

*Experience working on consumer facing products is required for this role.

*Strong UX / UI skills, product ownership

The successful candidate will…

• Plot and plan the product roadmaps for select portfolios
• Conduct competitive analysis and financial modeling as part of product strategy and planning
• Meet with business stakeholders to develop a product vision and related documentation and prototypes
• Interact with and convey requirements to implementation teams and ensure products meet specifications
• Keep all stakeholders regularly informed of product management and development planning
• Be a passionate advocate for our products and possess strong communication and presentation skills
• Be an expert on technical and industry trends and contribute forward-thinking solutions to meet business and operational objectives
• Manage multiple products simultaneously
• Provide consultative services to business stakeholders needing capability advisement


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of product related experience
• 8+ years’ experience in online and software product management and development; including gathering and documenting product requirements for development teams inclusive of business rationale, user needs and functional specifications
• Experience managing multiple teams/resources from multiple business lines - technology, design, editorial, business, etc.
• Proficiency in agile project management software and methodologies is necessary
• Proficient in all facets of product: UI/UX, marketing, design, roadmap , strategy, etc.
• Advanced presentation skills with the ability to demonstrate strong and confident communication, conversing easily among business, editorial and development teams
• Advanced understanding of core web technologies
• Expert organizational skills
• Experience with Omniture and data metrics analysis
• Experience with a digital publisher preferred
• Experience working with consumer-facing health, wellness, and/or lifestyle brands is a plus
