​Our client is defining the future of social commerce for a social category. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will be able to hit the ground running, and possess people and project management skills as well as feel comfortable art directing projects, while maintaining brand standards. Ability to design, and produce under tight deadlines. Looking for a hands-on Associate Creative Director to be a proxy to the full-time Associate Creative Director

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure Creative Project milestones and deadlines are met while mentoring and directing graphic designers.
  • Support and lead creative vision, conceptualization and execution of creative solutions alongside Copy partner. This includes generating big creative ideas and executing work on their own, as well as managing and approving the work of their assigned creative team.
  • Mentor and manage a Creative team of 5+ people, guiding them to generate a wide range of concepts, high-level copywriting and content strategy, providing evaluation, mentorship, counsel, and determining assignments, promotions, and incentives as needed.
  • Act as quality control and brand steward for junior-level team members and liaison between the team and their senior manager, including the VP of Creative.
  • Oversee team to research and select images from photoshoot or stock images.
  • Qualify, prioritize and delegate workloads for his/her team.
  • Understand, articulate, and strategically apply the latest platform/industry/creative trends and digital best practices, knowing social inside out and always seeking the next opportunity in this space for the company brand.
  • Solid understanding of digital media, abreast of emerging technologies and new ideas, and able to recommend solutions for Rodan + Fields’ unique social commerce model.
  • Concept, design, and execute creative solutions that communicate the R+F brand voice and message
  • Partner with the VP and CD to ideate and design from creative briefs with attention to marketing communication goals
  • Able to think and design holistically across media and activate brand campaigns globally
  • Independently manage workload, deadlines, quality of work produced, and follow defined procedures, policies, and processes
  • Work with a large group of cross-functional teams to turn business goals into design solution
  • Design and produce a wide range of graphics: social assets, digital flyers, animated GIFs, print materials, data visualizations, web banners, email graphics, digital signage, etc
  • Work closely with Creative Project Managers to ensure project deadlines are met and feedback is implemented
  • Maintain and follow best practices for version control, naming conventions, and organization of graphic files
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of latest graphic design trends and techniques
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines and design standards
  • Timely execution of all creative assets
  • Best in class design execution of agreed upon creative direction
  • Takes a leadership role in establishing and maintaining a global visual identity

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 10- years of design experience – Proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite is required
  • Ability to view work across media holistically and with brand consistency a must
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Understand and enjoy typographic and illustration principals/foundations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, creative project managers and meeting tight deadlines
  • Able to take design direction and positively respond to feedback
  • Self-disciplined and motivated in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Notify Project Managers and CD to provide additional support when bandwidth allows
  • Fast learner
