Associate Creative Director

Associate Creative Director fulfills a role in the Creative team under the direction of the Executive Creative Director, driving ideas, concepts and execution while upholding the standards of aesthetic and innovative excellence. This newly developed Creative team within a Fortune 500 company sits within a broader newly developed Brand and Digital team, providing business partnership for marketing and communication efforts globally. 

Key Role and Responsibility 
The ACD upholds the brand identity and leads creative strategy across divisions and mediums. This ACD will keep the creative team members inspired and ensure that their work adheres to standards of quality while delivering on business objectives. 

Problem Solving: 
Ensure and assist in the development of SOW for marketing and communication initiatives. 
Set and maintain design excellence, creative thinking, and brand identity though all touch points produced by the Creative team. 
Communicate design strategy when interpreting and maintaining brand guidelines. 
A clear understanding of design centered processes as well as proven methodologies for identifying and solving problems. 

Business Knowledge 
Experiential Design Experience (Many events are managed by Creative Team) 
Develops superior familiarity of brand guidelines and acceptable interpretations for each division. 
Develops a solid understanding of business partners market, objectives, product and their customers. 

Interactions 
Work closely with the ECD to act in a creative leadership role with business partners, brand and digital leadership and creative team. 
Gain in-depth knowledge of creative team member’s strengths and leverage those strengths to produce best quality work for each project. 
Partner with Brand, Events, and Digital team leaders to service internal stakeholders ideation, campaign concepts, review of strategy and the development of campaigns and collateral. 
Strategically communicate and present concepts to a variety of business partners. 
Closely direct designers and art directors on projects requiring strategic graphic concepts 
Develop, lead and mentor creative staff 
Work with Project Managers to prioritize and delegate multiple projects for each designer while ensuring a consistently focused perspective is maintained throughout project life cycle. 

Typical Scope and Goals 
Contributes to the achievement of team objectives and the objectives of the business partners supported. 
Contributes to the creative teams objectives towards concept, design, communication and marketing excellence 
Possesses ability to communicate through an effective presentation, design strategy and results from deployment of strategy. 

Minimum Preferred Experience and Skills 
The ideal candidate must be a creative professional who feels comfortable working in a corporate environment. 
Must have 7 years agency or in-house agency experience in a management function. 
Info graphic, and/or brand and/or experiential design experience a must. 
B2B experience desirable 
Interactive experience a must. 
Ability to guide a team of professional designers into translating concepts into compelling layouts using we content marketing and editor disciplines and methods. 
Strong time management skills 
Ability to communicate effectively with non-creative a must 
Comfortable presenting to various managerial levels within the organization 
Proficiently knowledgeable in all industry standard programs: Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat, and MAC systems. After Effects, Dreamweaver, SCC and HTML. 
Be prepared to share your work and business case reasoning and results on projects.
