Associate Content Producer (Music)

Please note that this is a contract role based in Reading that will initially run until the end of June 2014.

Job Mission:

To support the company's LIVE Dashboard Programming team with the population of the Marketplace channels across UK & European locales.

The team is responsible for publishing promotional content via their multimedia console, working with a variety of partners to develop promotion ideas, build appropriate graphics and experiences, manage publishing schedules, and ensure user experience meets the highest bar for quality, consistency, and technical accuracy.

Key areas of responsibility:

Primary role: Reporting to the Video and Music Producer, this role is to support the Programming team with the publishing of unique Video and Music promotions in up to 17 EMEA locales

• Support the population of the Video & Music areas of the dashboard with global and regional promos on the console in all supported European territories
• Using proprietary CMS (content management system) tool, build & publish content to the console Dashboard on a weekly basis, according to schedule
• Adhere to all deadlines and escalate potential issues as necessary
• Support Producer in creation & publishing of entertainment promotions
• Coverage and assistance as needed across marketplace channels including Video, Music and supporting any direct pushes to Home. Assist in the programming & publishing of larger experiences with other Associate Producer(s) & Publishing assistants, with involvement in planning as required by the channel Producer.
• Assist Producer in the management of promotional calendar
• Contribute to ideas for new & exciting promotions to delight & engage the console's audience
• Assist in the population of content wireframes (using Excel) and contribute to content picks across entertainment experiences when required
• Ensuring programming and projects follow internal policies & procedures and actively seek any changes in policies
• Update channel Producer clearly and regularly on status of all weekly tasks and on-going projects
• Attend regular stakeholder meetings as requested by channel Producer (marketplace scheduling meetings & promotional planning meetings)
• Adhere to internal pre-Localisation and Localisation policies with all translation vendors, including meeting of deadlines & adherence to length restrictions and escalate issues to channel Producer
• Coordinate graphic asset requests
• Develop intimate knowledge of bespoke content management tools in order to create content and resolve technical issues autonomously
• Calendaring ownership of predefined area, with an intimate understanding of individual nuances and market patterns

* Quick transition into team – getting up to speed on tools and the EMEA focus
* Keeps dashboard fresh with new content on a daily/weekly (depending on channel commitments) basis across all markets with 100% accuracy
* A passion and willingness to learn new processes, tasks and tools
* Methodical error proof method of working
* Demonstrates ability to manage and resolve technical issues
* Understands regional sensitivities and priorities
* Identifies asset requirements
* Aids in the production and construction of content using content management tools
* Works well as part of an Associate Producer team, as well as independently
* Proactive with fast reaction skills when content may require changing/updating quickly
Experience and Professional Qualification Requirements:

Essential:
* Strong project management experience
* A strong proficiency with content management tools and processes
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills
* Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment
* Experience of working to schedules in a daily or weekly content publishing environment
* Proven knowledge of working within a production team
* Ability to absorb & note information in meetings and support channel Producer
* Proven working knowledge in creating content for multiple audience types in an online environment, preferably in the entertainment industry
* Experience & proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* A basic knowledge of Photoshop
*BA/BS or equivalent

Desirable:
* Fluency in one more European languages beneficial but not essential
* Strong editorial skills, particularly an ability to write concise headlines and descriptions that adhere to tight character restrictions
* A knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Javascript
* Degree in information management, communications, journalism, English or related discipline

• A passion for games, entertainment and new media technologies, reflected by a high level of knowledge of all fields
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Positive outlook, and happy to work as part of a production team as well as individually
