Associate Business Manager- eCommerce Merchandising

Our major global eTailer client is looking for an Assoc. Business Manager for the Microsoft Product Category.

This exciting role entails the following:
Driving topline financial results for a product category under the Microsoft Brand. Closely tracking new developments and trends in the market, keeping a relentless focus on competitive offering and pricing. He/She will be responsible for achieving sales and margin plans through working directly with merchants and effective management of item and category. He/She will be responsible for improving the customer experience, on the product pages, by recommending innovative shopping functionality. As an Associate Business Manager, you’ll manage the acquisition, coordination and tracking of Microsoft subcategory item pages and shelves. You will manage the item page content, cross-sells, and accessories for the merchandise department specific to Microsoft

A Glimpse into a "Day in the life" of an Assoc. Business Manager:
• Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Merchandising and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
• Coordinate with necessary groups within the company to drive the Microsoft Strategy (examples: Social, External Search, Mobile, etc)
• Coordinates the setup of website content and items Manages and forecasts, trends, content, imagery, creative, cross sales and sales working directly with a team of buyers.
• Manages Microsoft online item content integrity for multiple categories within a strategic business unit
• Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity within the company and the Microsoft brand.
• Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions
• Reporting: Provide WM.com reporting specific to Microsoft
o PC & Tablet reporting: Weekly, monthly, Ad hoc
o Office Attach reporting
o Marketing Execution reporting (CTR, Open rate, conversation rate etc) and comparison to benchmarks
o Seasonal and/or campaign reporting: analysis of how successful placement and activities were to driving sales, conversions and lift
o Ad hoc reporting (as needed): Microsoft categories
o Regularly audit product item pages for content quality control. Identify issues and lead path to resolution.
• Project Management
o Setting up cross-organizational meetings
o Drive projects end-to-end
o Ensure stakeholders have necessary information
o Manage timelines for marketing creative and ensure key deliverable dates are met
o Project manage marketing asset development and customization. Work with creative agency, marketing manager, and creative approvers to ensure all marketing requirements are met.
• Identify marketing opportunities and improvements

A Qualified Applicant will posses the following:
Minimum Qualifications
• 2+ years of proven experience in merchandise, forecasting and product selection (online of offline)
• 1+ years developing business relationships with vendors and industry leaders
• Have managed and maintained open-to-buy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Fundamental knowledge of Photoshop and HTML for minor editing
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
