Associate Director, Market Analytics

Position Responsibilities and Scope
This is a leadership role that will be empowered to develop and implement enterprise wide processes and systems for collecting, analyzing and distributing market data:
• Collect and distribute market and competitive intelligence (market trends, innovation, competitive profiles, pipeline)
• Extract and deliver key market insights; engage with key stakeholders to make these insights actionable (not just a supplier of data)
• Develop market models and implement a system for automated collection and organization of these models
• Opportunity to develop and implement interactive tools for broader organization to access and interact with market data and insights
• Manage off-site analyst(s) that will work with this individual on data collection, material development and other deliverables
• Select and manage third party vendors for implementing data management and interaction tools/systems
• Champion a market oriented, data driven approach to decision making

• Drive the annual strategic and business planning process
• Develop tools for tracking business and market performance (dashboard, reports)

• Support Global Businesses and Regions in developing/testing new product/market strategies via primary and secondary research
• Create an automated, seamless platform for sharing and interacting with business intelligence and related tools

Qualifications

Desired competencies and experiences
• Must love secondary research; be curious about market, competitive, customer insights
• Prior experience as (1) equity research analyst with a bank or (2) market insights/analytics role with a healthcare company is advantageous
• Familiarity and interest in content management systems, market databases would be helpful
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and drive outcomes in an unstructured environment is essential to success
• BA/BS degree required; advanced degree is a plus
