Assistant Vendor Manager

Global eCommerce client's Kids' Shoes team is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join their buying team. The Assistant Vendor Manager (also known as an Assistant Buyer) will develop skills and work across all functional retail areas to grow and improve their partner vendor’s success within the organization.

Marketing and Content management:

Provide support for the Buying/Vendor Manager Team
Provide ad hoc and regular online content management, reporting, and analysis to help decision making.
You will also help with demand generation and email efforts, analyze site promotions, and make recommendations on marketing plans.


Assist Vendor Manager in placing seasonal buys, from assortment planning through to PO creation.
Monitor, analyze and report on category performance.
Act as the business owner for your category, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact your business
Drive strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives.

The ideal candidate has experience in buying, planning and/or marketing. You are comfortable using Microsoft tools, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills will be essential to your success.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
1-3 years professional work experience
Experience and proficiency using Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups
Capability with analytical tools and systems
Good organizational skills and ability to properly prioritize when dealing with large set of tasks.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

Retail and/or online experience preferred
Fashion or shoe industry experience preferred
