Assistant Marketing Analyst

A multinational investment management corporation and world's largest asset manager based in New York City, is in need of an Assistant Marketing Analyst to join their team on a consultative basis. As part of the Marketing Analytics team, this person will work closely with Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing and Technology teams to help evaluate and report results and insights on key marketing activities.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Produce marketing campaign reporting – bi-weekly reports/dashboards and end-of-campaign PowerPoint presentations.
• Perform marketing analytics project work – e.g. Customer Lifetime Value modeling; client profiling; marketing effectiveness; digital ad placement optimization.
• Proficiency in “R language” (software programming language and software environment for statistical computing and graphics) or MatLab (a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis)
• Working knowledge of multivariate linear models (linear regression, logistic regression, time series analysis), cross-validation, PCA, decision trees, clustering, optimization, experimental design and – preferred – more advanced algorithms e.g. random forest, SVM.
• Familiarity with Customer Lifetime Value modeling and marketing ROI measurement
• Experience with the analysis and trend reporting software Tableau (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Online, Tableau Reader and Tableau Public,
• PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent communication skills – both in terms of (a) presenting quantitative analyses to individuals with little background in quantitative disciplines, and (b) proactively reaching out to and socializing with a wide range of stakeholders and data owners across organization
• The position will require one to sometimes independently determine what analyses could contribute value to business, perform the analyses, present results
• 1-3 years of work experience
