Assistant Licensing Manager

The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing several sub-categories and the associated licensee base with the goal of meeting or exceeding predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives across the portfolio of brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES
" Finance and Business Planning:
o Obtain and review quarterly sales forecast information from licensees in order to build quarterly forecast and budget
o Responsible for category input within the 5 years strategic plan
o Supports manager to compile and analyze retail sell-through information
" Brand and Content Management:
o In conjunction with / support of the Franchise team:
" Ensure timely approvals of licensee's marketing elements in D-Room
" Provide any licensee /product information in support of marketing and brand presentations and sales meetings
" Category management
o Manages a licensee base for a specific segment of the business
o Identify new business and revenue opportunities
o Assist in defining category and property strategy
o Manage day-to-day relationship with licensees
o Support the process of pitching and selecting licensees
o Set-up and support licensee business reviews under leadership of manager
o Provide management support in the contract and amendment process
o Perform all functions of "Contract Owner" for a selection of licensees
" Product Development:
o Set-up line review with licensees and Product Development team
o Work with the Product Development team to approve and maintain line lists
o Liaise with Product Development team to ensure timely approval of products which may include: leading meetings; coordinating programs across all categories; reviewing line lists; responding to product development team in the case of OPA submission changes; executing merchandising plans; public relations and advertising coordination.
o Liaise with the Packaging team to ensure timely approvals and to ensure product features are communicated effectively
o Prepare product presentations included but not limited to internal line reviews
o Ensure licensee product lines reflect quality and brand/property objectives
o Assist licensees with securing of assets to support product development
" Retail, Sales and Marketing
o Provide all needed product and licensee information to the sales and marketing teams to support retail road shows and presentations
o With Sales team define and plan product development for retailer exclusive products

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
" Bachelor's degree + 4-5 years related experience or MBA with 1-2 years experience
