Assistant Editor - Fashion

Do you have a passion for clear communication, engaging content, and pushing the online shopping experience into exciting new territory? Our massive eCommerce client's Fashion team is looking for a creative, energetic thinker to curate a top-tier customer experience across all of their fashion lines: Shoes, Apparel, Jewelry, Watches, and Accessories. Their copywriters use sharp writing skills and a keen eye for detail to create and edit customer-facing content in real time while also innovating behind the scenes to make them a leader in online customer experience.

The primary day-to-day of this role includes editing bullet points/titles and writing product descriptions for their fashion detail pages: clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, watches, and accessories. A strong candidate for this role will have proven writing ability and experience, stellar grammar, a keen eye for detail and proofreading, ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision, and can deliver a daily quota.

Responsibilities:
• Write accurate, grammatically correct product titles and descriptions across a diverse array of products in keeping with the voice and brand
•Examine existing product details and other data for accuracy and clarity
• Manage data in multiple catalogs using a variety of proprietary tools
•Troubleshoot products with missing or incorrect data to maintain a high quality experience
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current fashion trends, clothing styles, and terminology to provide fresh, relevant content
•Uphold a high level of productivity and work with other teams to meet aggressive service level
The successful candidate will demonstrate:• Outstanding writing skills, grammatical ability, and attention to detail

• Flexibility in adapting to changes in the workplace
• Ability to learn new technical skills and tools quickly
• Self-motivation and the ability to identify a problem and follow it through to resolution
• Good communication skills in person, on the phone, and in e-mail
• Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision in a nontraditional setting


Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent
•Experience editing and fact-checking
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word to manage large amounts of data


Preferred Qualifications
•Two years of copywriting experience
•Previous fashion or retail experience
•Proven experience working under strict deadlines and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
