Assessment Manager

Looking for an Assessment Manager for an education client of mine. 

- Freelance through June 2018 

- 40 hours/week with the option to reduce to part-time during the remainder of the year based on the project schedule.

- Onsite


This position is for an experienced assessment specialist who will support the technical workflow for assessment projects for Pre-AP and SpringBoard programs. The assessment manager will work closely with the senior director for assessment and the content development team in the following key areas: 
• Manage the item template creation and item development workflow into and within Learnosity, the item authoring platform utilized by our programs 
• Maintain item development schedules (including item writing and reviews) and coordinate schedules and assignments for item writers, vendors, and the content development team 
• Support the training of vendors and item writers for assessment projects 
• Package and transmit assessments completed on the authoring platform, Learnosity, for release on the teacher-facing digital platforms of Pre-AP and SpringBoard 
• Execute quality assurance test plans and manage QA work performed by the content development team and/or vendors 
• Develop and maintain technical documentation of assessments (item metadata, item counts, art specifications and passage information) 
• Support development of standards alignment templates and reports 
• Create and manage assessment project schedules and prioritize to meet critical deadlines 


Skill Set: 
• Documented, successful experience with assessment development projects, specifically with coordinating item writing projects and schedules with item writers and external vendors 
• Hands-on experience with item banking/item authoring programs; experience with the Learnosity platform a plus 
• Solid understanding of classroom-based assessment formats and approaches 
• Highly organized and detail oriented with attention to precision and accuracy of all materials 
• Comfort working in a dynamic environment, and a flexible and adaptive working style 
• Self-directed, with an ability to problem-solve and to communicate effectively 
• Ability to manage multiple, multifaceted projects simultaneously
