Artwork Coordinator

This a newly created position within a privately owned, international Australian-owned company. The business has grown year on year and as such an increased workload has lead to the requirement for an artwork coordinator to join the business.

The primary focus of this position is to coordinate the packaging and artwork for the business in an accurate and timely manner, to ensure process is adhered to and drive process improvements.

Key aspects of the role include but are not limited to:

Studio Traffic
• Oversees the efficient flow of work from brand services to creative and production departments
• Creates and maintains project schedules, job files, job progress, and conducts traffic meetings

Artwork Packaging
• Champions and develop packaging style guides by brand
• Project coordinates new and changed packaging and ensure new and amended packaging is in the AMS and moves through the approval process accurately and timely
• Works closely with the Graphic Designers to allocate jobs as required
• Works closely with Production and Quality Assurance departments to ensure packaging concepts are translatable and final packaging is accurate
• Develops relationships with packaging suppliers and external agencies in regard to artwork and printing requirements

Artwork Production
• Designs and lays out marketing communications to both print ready art and online requirements
• Translates ideas from layout 'roughs' into finished artwork suitable for reproduction
• Responsible for the structure and modification of artwork in a format that meets the brief of the Graphic Designers and creative team

Experience
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
• 4+ years’ experience as a Graphic Designer or higher
• Experience in traffic coordination, organising and running WIP meetings
• Proven ability to be highly organised when dealing with multiple tasks and tight deadlines
• Proven computer experience skills in a Mac environment
• Proven experience with CS5 suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) skills in a Mac environment
• Extensive experience in a broad range of media including, press, brochures, signage and digital
• Understand and execute consistency of content across all elements of work
• Excellent customer service skills
• Maintain design consistency and have an excellent eye for detail
• Proven technical experience in design and artwork communication
