Our client is a financial services firm in Tampa, Florida. They have asked for Aquent's help in identifying a CONTRACT TO HIRE ART DIRECTOR with both web design and copywriting skills. This position is onsite Monday-Friday during normal business hours.


Senior Associate, Creative Development for Web and Internet

Position is responsible for developing concepts and producing creative specifically for digital direct response marketing channels and on-going website enhancements. Support marketing teams to develop strategic direction and test objectives.

Manage multiple simultaneous projects through all facets of creative development including directing external creative resources to develop concept, copy and design; legal, compliance and marketing review processes; and final production. Understand product specifications and industry regulation and negotiate copy revisions, establish work around solutions to copy, graphic and format when needed to gain approval and maintain marketing objectives.

Design email and banner advertisements when needed. Illustrate website flow and functionality for both internal and external reviews. Oversee development of flash, html and work with internal partners through implementation. Accountable for complete accuracy of all creative materials. Communicate job status and solve for project management and production challenges to ensure deadlines are met.

Evaluate concept performance results for understanding creative successes and failures. Interpret data to modify control and test positions and react quickly to results to direct or re-direct strategy within a short time frame.

Knowledge and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising or Marketing
· Five to seven years experience in direct response advertising and/or marketing required including execution of Marketing strategy to develop concepts for direct response channels
· Strong project management skills required
· Proven copywriting and art direction experience required
· Experience in maintain websites and digital creative development and production mandatory
· Must be proficient in: InDesign, Photoshop, html and flash, Excel, Word, and Acrobat
· Prior corporate marketing or advertising agency and direct response marketing experience required
· Web strategy experience necessary
· Staff leadership/management experience required
· Above average level of experience working with writers and graphic artists in the development of new creative material
· Experience with directing outside creative resources preferred
· Must possess strong interpersonal communication (both oral and written), time management, organization and planning skills
· Demonstrate analytical abilities
· Ability to sort collected data and disseminate or redirect creative approach
· Employ self-motivation, independence and flexibility in multi-tasking
· Creative development of direct response print and direct mail experience helpful
