Art Director (Digital)

We are seeking a talented Art Director to join our digital & cross-channel creative team. Our Art Director will be responsible for creating digital and print solutions for consumers, B2B and everyone in between. We are looking for someone who understands user-centered design and possesses a sophisticated aesthetic sense that works across multiple digital media, a dedication to innovation and, most of all, a passion for the convergence of design and technology.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing design solutions that focus on bringing our client’s communication goals to life in the most engaging ways possible. You’ll be responsible for ideas and execution of design solutions including digital social media, websites, print collateral and advertising, presentations, brand identity and video.

Responsibilities:
• Develop concepts and designs for a variety of clients including social marketing, public affairs and consumer health
• Partner with creative directors, digital strategists, producers and account teams
• Understand the behaviors and best practices associated with interaction design and digital marketing projects
• Work effectively across different media channels, including digital, print and video
• Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends
• Contribute your ideas and work as part of an integrated, inter-disciplinary agency team
• Juggle projects ranging from existing client work to new business pursuits
• Function as a brand steward by developing and comprehending client style guides while maintaining consistent graphic identities that align with other print and advertising media
• Able to take abstract concepts and strategic content and using them to produce visually compelling presentations.
• Design and layout of collateral pieces, posters, and hand-outs
• Bringing data and ideas to life through the design of custom graphics and ensuring that all creative materials are delivered in a well-designed/laid-out, consistent and accurate manner.
• In-depth industry knowledge: typography, illustration, photography, color theory, motion graphics, multimedia authoring tools and corporate identity

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of 6-7 years of design and art direction experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop conceptual visual ideas and execute against them to create innovative digital solutions in a highly collaborative environment
• Thorough understanding of best practices in web design and user interface/information architecture conventions
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Experience art directing other designers
• Thorough knowledge of user experience deliverables such as site maps, wireframes, flow charts personas, functional specifications and style guides
• Software expertise including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
• Working knowledge of presentation-layer technologies, including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS
