Job Overview:

This individual will develop concepts and creative solutions that are consistent with the needs of the brand and provide direction in the areas of typography and design.

Essential Functions:
Exceptional skills in design, typography, grids and branding books. Maintain design standards throughout all collateral.
Conceptualize, design, present and produce brand positioned print catalogues from inception to completion with collaboration of Associate Creative Director
Design imaginative layouts with a keen sense of typography, layout, color and photography. Maintain layouts through art and copy revisions.
Ensure creative brand vision by employing strong communication materials with dynamic creative judgment.
Research and maintain creative reference library, design, typography, fashion and culture and current trends
Advise and collaborate with Art Directors and Jr graphic designers to inspire design and establish seasonal campaigns and advertising. Work collaboratively with Art Directors in selection of photos and design
Interface with Client, Creative, Photographer and Pre Production team in color management and retouching, working through logistics internally and externally.
Function as liaison between Merchants, Associate Creative Directors, Copywriters and Pre-press Production teams in resolving issues and driving creative process. Able to manage direction from several sources. Attend all style out and turn-in meetings.
Partner with ACD to establish visual systems and guidelines for re-launches and implementation by external agencies
Responsibilities would also include: creation of logos, creation of formats and comprehensive layouts, creation of mood boards, manipulation of references for presentation purposes, release and shipping of files. Projects may also include print ads, new media and various promotional materials.
Qualifications:
BFA in Graphic Design
Minimum of 5 years experience in advertising/graphic design, 5-7 years experience in print collateral, corporate identity, brand development and packaging.
Motivated, proactive, highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities
Strong organizational and communication skills. Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
Fashion and luxury brand knowledge is a must
Team player and problem solver in a demanding deadline driven environment
