Art Director

You are a talented Art Director who is responsible for concept development and the translation and extension of concepts into effective visual designs for events, interactive marketing, online campaigns, web and print based projects. You will work on several projects at a time and will be involved in all phases of creative development.

Responsibilities;
» Working from a brief with a copywriter, generating ideas to present to the client.
» Working on designs to produce mood boards, concept sketches, presentation decks and storyboards.
» Commissioning specialists, such as artists and photographers, to work on projects.
» Managing projects and working within a budget.
» Understands role of creative brief, how work should flow from it, and how to develop ideas against it.
» Works enthusiastically, respectfully and collaboratively with other team members on assigned accounts, understanding how the account operates and their’s and other team members’ roles and responsibilities across the account.
» Partners with creative leads where needed to ensure the solution meets brief and program objectives.
» Considers technology requirements and designs a solution that complements the technical strategy and/or partners with the technology staff to overcome implementation obstacles.
» Actively participates in team meetings to discuss project parameters.
» Independently manages and prioritises work effectively, and proactively escalates work load conflicts.

You will have;
» Exceptional design portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking.
» 4+ years design experience.
» Expert command of standard design and layout applications (Adobe Creative Suite).
» Demonstrated ability to utilise feedback/direction from creative lead to generate multiple design explorations.
» Has managed and may have led multiple assignments at the same time (including organising and prioritising workload, and working efficiently under pressure in a deadline-driven environment).
» Understanding of the digital landscape.
» Careful attention to detail and management of version control issues.
» Advanced knowledge of and the ability to help manage the production process (e.g. optimising graphics, compression settings and file size and image optimisation.
» Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to clearly articulate your creative process, thoughts, ideas and a point of view about your work.
» Excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
» Experience in directing and motivating project teams, mentoring junior resources, inspiring teamwork and driving a team toward a great creative product.
