Art Director job description:
• We are looking for someone with marketing agency experience. You will be leading client projects for marketing automation. You will be designing template emails and landing pages for client campaigns that include lead nurture, lead generation, events, and newsletters.
• You should be well versed in responsive design methodology, as well as fixed and fluid design layout.
• You’ll be required to be proficient in email marketing best practices and apply them when creating templates or specific marketing campaigns.
• You'll have Excellent written skill of communication and documentation are needed. Some client presentation of work will be required as part of the job, but it’s not extensive. You will also present work to small internal project teams prior to client delivery.
• You’ll need great organizational skills to lead the creative effort for multiple projects of varied sizes. There can be many moving pieces for the campaign deliverables.
• Your work should be precise and considerate of pixel-level details.
• After you set the style and approach to a set of designs, you’ll be expected to delegate work to a staff designer and occasional contract designers.
• This isn’t an advertising agency job; meaning “blue sky” creativity usually isn’t called for. However, you need strong visual eye and knowledge of design theory and user-centered design. There is a need to creatively interpret client brand requirements and best practices so they fulfill business goals.
• You will act as an internal design resource to visually improve all agency work. This includes business collateral, pitch presentation decks, deliverable presentations, and agency communication templates.
• The ideal candidate has 6-8 years experience in a marketing agency or marketing department, with 2+ years of art directing.
