Position Description

We are seeking an Art Director II, who will be responsible for producing creative executions that support marketing initiatives. Their role is to seek out innovative ways to communicate our messages while upholding a consistent brand image across all of our materials. This position reports directly to a Manager on the Marketing Creative team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative design and execution
•Interpret strategic direction and develop clear and consistent creative designs and layouts that support the objectives and goals for marketing initiatives.
•Work with Creative Managers and Directors to review concepts and produce multiple executions that maintain consistent brand messages.
•Ensure that materials produced support the vision and values of the Marketing plan, and the overall brand.
•Prepare creative artwork for production.
•Maintain knowledge of emerging technology and creative trends by attending relevant conferences and continuous education courses.

Collaboration with team members
•Meet with Directors, Managers, Designers, and Copywriters to develop standards for creative ideas and concepts that support Marketing objectives and goals. Active participation in team meetings and client meetings, including in-store clients that requires some travel.
•Partner with Creative Manager, Creative Director and Clients to receive and discuss design feedback, and incorporate feedback as necessary.
•Partner with other Marketing and Advertising team members to coordinate consistency across different mediums and to facilitate completion of projects within established schedules and guidelines.

Presentation to clients
•Present creative solutions to clients and other vested stakeholders.
•Discuss and explain rationale for presented artwork. Incorporate client feedback and re-present as needed.

Position Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
•Four year college degree (Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design) strongly preferred, but not required
•Four to eight years of Creative design experience in a Creative agency or in-house Creative department
•Experience working with clients in a Creative environment
•Must be proficient in the use of Apple OS X and design software (Adobe Creative Suite)
•Portfolio presentation and review will be required
