Art Director

If you are an Art Director who thinks strategically, we want to hear from you! Our Fortune 500 client in Richmond is looking for an experienced professional to offer strategic Art Direction to their internal agency. In this role, you will work directly and collaboratively with members of the creative team to develop and produce effective communications. You will need to be self-organized and manage multiple concurrent priorities.

You will:
• Facilitate presentations and have strong presentation skills; communicate tactically and strategically.
• Maintain awareness of latest advertising and marketing trends in the finance industry, and advertising in general.
• Brainstorm with team to develop marketing ideas
• Have experience in web, mobile and social platforms as a plus.

Our perfect candidate will have a 4-year degree (preferred) in design or a similar discipline, as well as 3-5 years of design and art direction experience. You will be fully versed in the full Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop - Acrobat is helpful), and your knowledge of Flash, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver will be very helpful. You will have experience with Direct mail and/or web design, and any experience in Financial Services is a big plus.

Your portfolio should demonstrate mid to high-budget print projects and campaigns, and demonstrate industry, conceptual and technical diversity. It's likely you have unusual or unconventional formats. All collateral (brochures, videos, storyboards, ad comps) should show evidence of “thinking outside the box” while achieving strategic goals.
