Responsible for creating successful designs and concepts for both print and web. Generates art direction on assigned projects. Shares responsibility with Copywriter on agreement and adherence to production schedule and elements of package, determination for form in which work will be presented to client, mechanical approval, and blueprint approval. Meets with account group to ensure technical requirements of job, budget requirements and schedules are understood and agreed to. Meets with production to determine whether concept can be produced and can adhere to budget and schedule. Requires a portfolio of work showing strong design ability. Experience with standards-based web design, HTML5, CSS3, Flash and responsive design is required. An interactive design and/or BFA degree in Design is preferred but not required.

Description of Role Candidates must have strong conceptual ability and proven print and digital design skills, including branding systems and digital storytelling. Must have proven experience working with major brands and on e-commerce sites. Excellent graphic design skills and building conceptual design frameworks within proven user experience design patterns required. Technical/Functional Qualifications • Projects may have multiple components from print to digital; must be comfortable with designing for both 300 and 72dpi • Outstanding graphic design layout, color and typography • Must be able to develop concepts and design systems that address marketing objectives in a creative manner and effectively targets the audience • The candidate will NOT be expected to code, but should be familiar with standards-based web design, and the capabilities of HTML5, CSS3 and Flash • Familiarity working within content management systems, design templates and brand standards • Must know responsive design • Deep understanding and enthusiasm for web technologies, emerging design trends, user-centered design, touch screen design and mobile platforms • Ability to work on large-scale interactive projects, tight deadlines and high volume of work with geographically dispersed teams • A BFA degree in Design or equivalent Minimum 5-8 years enterprise and/or agency experience. PORTFOLIO REQUIRED
