Vitamin T's super hot Silicon Valley brand in the Cloud Storage space is looking for a progressive Art Director / Creative Director with expertise in thinking big visually for awesome projects. This is a CONTRACT TO HIRE role. In this AD position, you're expected to come up with and execute breakthrough design ideas with tremendous impact on the brand and industry.

Desired Profile:
Vitamin T is looking for a seasoned creative interested in building teams and leading a creative department. This client wants someone who is compelled to roll up their sleeves to make great work themselves. A creative Bay Area professional with a great portfolio, but wants to push the boundaries into new territory. We're looking for someone who is forward-thinking, and communicate high tech ideas in a visual way that is understandable, compelling, and interesting to users. Must have previous AD or ACD experience, ideally at an agency or well known tech brand.

Core Job Responsibilities:
-Partner with Vice President of Creative, various business and product stakeholders, and development teams for never-been-done-before ideas on a large scale
-Define creative objectives and lead innovative digital designs, and bring to life marketing initiatives.
-Oversee all design/production of internal creative department, including full time employees and contractors
-Bring out the best in teammates, helping them showcase their best talent as developers, designers, video producers, and marketers
-Develop cutting edge ideas for a user base of millions of people.

At a minimum to be competitive, you must have:
-A degree in design
-8+ years world class creative agency, ideally working on B2B brands or highly technical brands, on work ranging from branding, to strategy, to visual design and/or art direction or creative direction.
-Portfolio of innovative work, coupled with the ability to bring a voice to technical brands to make them more understandable to wide audiences.

Preferred qualifications:
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive start up environment
-Ability to articulate design strategies and ideas to various internal stakeholders and to members of the creative department
-Ability to inspire creative workers and rally them
-Knowledge of UI/UX best practices, digital media, awareness of programming and development team needs and best practices

Desired attitude:
-Self-directed, brave, innovative, and not willing to settle for the status-quo.
