ROLE: Art Director - Print

JOB SUMMARY:
To design and produce visual imagery for Key Art presentations, including ancillary components integral to entertainment campaigns. Must be able to supervise and coordinate the work of designers and ensure that the finished product reflects a unified conceptual approach to the project.

Must possess a strong unifying vision. In particular, be acutely aware of the overall visual appearance and how it communicates the intended message. Through concept and execution must be able to stimulate mood, contrast features, and psychologically appeal to a target audience.

Must be able to translate desired moods, messages, concepts, and underdeveloped ideas into imagery. Contribute fully and creatively throughout the brainstorming process and be able to convey what the finished imagery will look like. Help to resolve any conflicting agenda and inconsistencies between the various individual inputs and images.


MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide forward-thinking creative leadership.
Effectively translate branding and marketing strategies for a wide range of properties into exceptional creative concepts and executions in keeping within project scope: strategic positioning, business requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Serve as one of the mentors to design team.
Prepare creative deliverables (brand boards, creative comps, and style guides)
Present and sell ideas internally.
Partner with copywriters to ensure the art direction and visual presentation will support the defined strategy.
Collaborate with creative, account services, production, technology, and extended team members on delivering break-though creative solutions.
Hands-on development of comps, layouts and prototypes in appropriate software applications.
Discusses content, style, audience, techniques, and budgetary considerations.
Communicates clearly and is able to articulate needed revisions and alterations.
Work closely with production department.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of college or art school with degree in graphic design or related field.
Thorough knowledge of Graphic Design disciplines and photo-manipulation technologies.
Three to Five years experience with strong building skills.
Demonstrated good communication skills.
