Art Director - Healthcare

An agency based in Hampshire is looking for an Art Director: Healthcare, within the Creative Department, is principally a conceptual role, creating campaign ideas and visual styles across a broad spectrum of briefs from advertising and other OTC collateral (print, DM, video and digital) and patient information, detail aids, as well as B2B and Rx comms to HCP.
You are expected to have some degree of specialist medical knowledge in a number of areas (including oncology, diabetes, pain and contraception) and an understanding how to keep our creative code compliant within the ABPI Code of Practice (UK) and other EU regulations
You will also be called to work as Art Director across the board with other clients that Purple are involved in
Whilst you will mainly work with our Healthcare Copywriter and our pool of specialist Medical Writers, you will also work in a collaborative way with other Creative Designers and Developers to turn creative ideas into well-executed projects.
This role will involve some contact with the client.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
• Effectively interpret client objectives into visual ideas and concepts of the highest standard
• Art Direct photo and video shoots, CGI, digital and print design
• Be able to brief your concepts to designers and artworkers and follow the job through to completion
• Participate in client briefing calls to understand client requirements
• Understand the need to conform to the various codes of practice
• Present work both internally and to the client in a lucid and inspiring way
• Work to ensure that the client has confidence that Purple will exceed their own expectations in timeliness, costs, accuracy and quality.
• Champion ideas, and create an open environment which encourages others to come up with ideas.
