Art Buyer / Digital Asset Manager

Art Buyer / Digital Asset Manager needed for approximately 5 months. 

Searching for a dynamic Art Buyer / Digital Asset Manager who is passionate about brands and will procure required art, coordinate pre-production planning and prepare for reproduction of all projects. 

Responsibilities:
•    Recommend photographers and illustrators that are appropriate for the execution of the agency's creative concepts under existing timetables and budgets
•    Negotiate cost and timing with the artist's representatives for the best product within budget 
•    Coordinate pre-production planning and purchasing of art work (photography and illustration) and prepares for reproduction
•    Administer all related paperwork, PO's, invoices, releases, etc.
•    Manage portrait shoots, including processing, coordinate retouching and uploading
•    Taxonomy/metadata project in Digital Asset Management tool, including keyword structure to all assets
•    Manage in-branch shoots, including processing, coordinate retouching and uploading
•    Stock research requests and purchasing
•    Activate new users on our asset management site
•    Serve as the primary vendor contact for Digital Asset Management tool
•    Manage team mailbox. This includes responding to asset requests and reviewing finished materials.
•    Builds relationship at appropriate client/vendor level
•    Get bid on art required
•    Give estimate to clients and agencies
•    Purchase art
•    Participate in weekly departmental staff meetings
•    Keep supervisor apprised of the status of work

You must have:
•    Good judgment and imagination to be able to make recommendations for the visual elements of an advertisement.
•    Some art education in advertising design and conceptual thinking
•    Previous experience as an Art Buyer / Associate Art Buyer / Digital Asset Manager
•    Must have 5+ years of experience within stock photography or comparable industry
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral 
•    Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented
•    Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience preferred

Additional Information:
• Working onsite in Austin.
• 40 hours per week.
• Duration of job approximately 5 months.
