We are looking for a Apps and Music Producer to join one of the word's largest gaming/technology companies.

• Based in Reading
• Salary up to £55K per annum
• Contract to start ASAP
• Contract until 30th June 2014 (and then looking to extend)

Candidate profile:
o Ideal candidates will have been operating in roles such as Producer, Senior Producer or Exec Producer in their past roles
o Ideal candidates will have a strong content publishing background
o The candidate will have a strong background/ interest in music, preferably with proven experience in the entertainment industry.


DEPARTMENT & TEAM:
A huge gaming client’s EMEA Programming team

Role Purpose:
We are seeking a Producer who will develop and lead a high-performing multi-disciplined editorial programming team. The successful candidate will drive the editorial programming strategy for the client’s Apps & Music channels across all relevant EMEA markets as well as oversee content and creative execution of the promotions across EMEA.

This position requires superior communication, project management and scheduling skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for and knowledge of gaming as well as European Movies, TV and Music landscape, coupled with solid experience of developing and evangelizing a vision for engaging content collections.

You will possess superb team management and cross-group collaboration skills, be a strong negotiator and effective communicator and be able to maintain individual workload whilst managing a team. In addition, deep experience in online publishing or digital entertainment production, and a proven track record of working cross-division and cross-region.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team to develop vibrant and engaging programming that engages new, potential and existing subscribers by promoting relevant content choices which will delight the audience, drive high user engagement, repeat transactions, revenue and market growth.
* Own and oversee the pre-production and planning phases for all merchandising and editorial across all EMEA markets
* Direct management of the Apps & Music Programming team
* Develop intimate knowledge of proprietary content management tool in order to resolve or escalate technical issues for the team
* Identify new ways to resolve customer needs/experience that can be shared with the wider Programming Teams.
* Drive planning with engineering counterparts to develop tools and training
* Ensure team's projects meet business objectives and standards for scalability, quality, and customer value
* Partner with Business Intelligence team to evaluate engagement data & key performance indicators to manage/improve return on investment across all promotions
* Keep technical skill set current and demonstrate proficiency with the technologies & tools required.
* Cultivate a climate of teamwork across the discipline and the business group

As a candidate for this position you will be able to demonstrate:
* Excellent project and risk management, planning and scheduling acumen
* Experience of working with CMS or online publishing systems is essential, as this is a hands-on role, experience
* Excellent people & team management skills.
* Proven record within online publishing and the gaming and/ or entertainment industry
* Proven history of delivering projects with many deliverables and stakeholders
* Demonstrated deep understanding of production and development life cycles in either online or digital publishing
* Partnering with an internal Design team on high profile promotions/projects

* High motivated and proactive professional with an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a variety of disciplines
* Excellent internal & external partner relationship skills, including the ability to work with a range of teams with sometimes competing goals to ensure business needs are met, editorial standards are maintained, while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across all teams

* Ability to work well under pressure and motivate the team
* Excellent communication, time management and editorial judgement
* Passion for gaming and all forms of entertainment (games, movies, TV, and music)

Qualifications
• BA/BSc or equivalent
