Apparel Graphic Designer - Intermediate - (4354460)

Fortune 500 Fashion brand is looking for a rockstar Apparel Graphic Designer who will be responsible for designing or creating graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, print products, electronic products or logos. The contractor will be creating layout specifications and animation for electronic products. They may use a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects.

- Must have knowledge of the latest computer packages and an understanding of material costs and time limits, all of which can impact on the design.
- Will be responsible for archiving and retrieving artwork and electronic files as well as burning CDs and DVDs as needed.
- Manage projects to budget and schedule.
- Work well in a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account executives, website designers and marketing specialists.

Top Three Skills needed to perform this job?

1. Excellent graphic design sense (ideally for apparel). Able to work in various styles and elevated aesthetics.
2. Strong knowledge of CS Illustrator and Photoshop with a capacity to learn how those programs are used specifically in the apparel graphics process
3. Able to maintain focus and productivity while working on different projects throughout day.

**Ideal candidate is organized, efficient, timely, and neat with corporate experience (ideally in apparel).

Typical work day

The contractor will be designing verbiage graphics, manipulating photographs, and illustrating (digitally and by hand) artwork to go on apparel.

Type of background : Graphic designer (illustration ability a bonus).

Software skills: Mac CS Illustrator and Photoshop.
